DESCRIPTION:Andrekka “AJ” Lanier (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (
 LLNL))\n\nThis workshop will explore the definitions of microaggressions, 
 macroagressions, microaffirmations, and effective methods to recognize the
  impacts of these in the workplace. The workshop will consist of understan
 ding and defining biases and reviewing subtle remarks that may seem common
 place but could be harmful. The objective is for participants to gain an u
 nderstanding of what microaggressions are, how harmful they can be, and ho
 w to combat them to promote a positive culture (which can be with microaff
