SUMMARY:PTI-GPU: Kernel Profiling and Assessment on Intel GPUs
DESCRIPTION:Mariam Umar and Maxwell Jong (Intel Corporation)\n\nModern sup
ercomputing applications are complex programs built on optimized framework
s and accelerated on GPUs. As such, dedicated tools for profiling GPU kern
el utilization and performance are needed to support development of these
applications, which in turn accelerates progress for the scientific comput
ing and machine learning communities.\n\nThis paper presents the Oneprof a
nd Onetrace tools from the Intel PTI-GPU framework. These tools are capabl
e of profiling applications and different levels of the runtime stack exec
uting on Intel GPUs. To demonstrate the features and utility of these tool
s, we examine one HPC and one AI application.\n\nTag: Programming Framewor

orowski (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)); Lev Gorenstein (G
lobus, University of Chicago); and Karen Tomko (Ohio Supercomputer Center)
