SUMMARY:A Heterogeneous, In Transit Approach for Large Scale Cellular Mode
 ling
DESCRIPTION:Ayman Yousef (Duke University)\n\nThe field of in silico cellu
lar modeling has made notable strides in number of cells that can be simul
taneously modeled. While computational capabilities have grown exponential
ly, I/O performance has lagged behind. To address this issue, we present a
n in-transit approach to enable in situ visualization and analysis of larg
 e-scale fluid-structure-interaction models on leadership-class systems. We
delineate the proposed framework and demonstrate the feasibility of this
approach by measuring overhead introduced. The proposed framework provides
a valuable tool for both at-scale debugging and enabling scientific disco
very, which would be difficult to achieve otherwise.\n\nRegistration Categ
