SUMMARY:NetCDFaster: A Geospatial Cyberinfrastructure for Multi-Dimensiona
 l Scientific Datasets Full-Stack I/O and Visualization
DESCRIPTION:Zhenlei Song (Texas A&M University)\n\nNetCDF's original desig
n included a portable file format and an intuitive application programming
interface (API). However, the current NetCDF framework and its derived li
braries lack efficient support for querying and visualizing data subsets w
ith low memory use and time cost. Therefore, a full-stack solution to hand
le and display multidimensional data frames in NetCDF must be developed to
meet the research needs. In this project, a next-generation full-stack to
ol, “NetCDFaster,” was developed to accelerate the reading and viewing of
NetCDF data. This tool was derived from serial and parallel interfaces bui
lt on MPI-IO. The test results showed that processing time and memory usag
e were significantly improved than conventional methods.\n\nRegistration C
